Disadvantages of Children's Life Insurance:

  • They probably won’t use it
  • Your child may need a medical exam
  • Most young adults can get insurance coverage later anyway
  • Kids don't pose a financial loss
  • Your group life insurance may already cover them
  • Some feel they are betting on their kids demise via the premiums
  • After inflation, the small death benefit you get for your children may be too low in several decades
